Speak out for national climate legislation.

The Energy and Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives recently passed the historic American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES). For the first time in decades, we have a bill that provides a real opportunity for historic climate protection legislation.

We hope you'll participate in the national effort to help pass the strongest clean energy legislation in our nation's history. If you live in the 2nd congressional district (Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish Counties), urge Representative Rick Larsen to pass the American Clean Energy and Security Act (HR 2454) as well as support strengthening amendments by phone 202-225-2605 or email. Go retro with your carbon dioxide output.

We can all help reverse global climate change. Whether it's riding a bike, unplugging unnecessary household electronics, or eating fresh food, the little things we do add up. It's a process that begins with being aware of the choices we make, and how those choices fit into the big picture.

We have the power to create change, as individuals, as a community, as a species. Small choices make a big difference.
